Damask Divas Blog Hop - Chalk it Up

Welcome to my Blog.  My name is Judy Dahlgren and I am an Independent Consultant for Close to my Heart.  “If you came from Jeannie Resnick's blog you are in the right place.  If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the full list at the Damask Divas Chalk it Up Blog Hop to find the complete list of blog hop participants.”
New August 1st!!! the Close to my Heart Inspirations catalog with lots of great papercrafting items. Great Quality, great inspiration and a super company to be a consultant for!  Here's my creation for this month:

This layout is based on a sketch I saw on http://stucksketches.blogspot.com/.  Although I didn't enter the contest they offered, you can get some great ideas from sketches.  Another great resource for ideas is the Reflections scrapbook program from CTMH.  Okay, onto the details.....for this layout I used our new papers: Canary and Thistle (love, love, love these colors!)  along with Lagoon and the Chalk it Up Workshop on the Go - G1081.
This is the 2nd page for the double page layout and I used the same ideas from the original sketch, just mixed it up and turned it on its side. This new ribbon is the Black striped twill - z1988.  I know I'll be using it alot!
Close ups of the embellishments- a chipboard circle above and arrow below  from the Chalk it up assortment - Z3009 included in the kit.

Believe it or not this card was a completely random creation.  I had tested the 'Life is good' stamp with Lagoon ink on the Lagoon paper to see how it would look.  I liked it so I stamped it on my scrapbook page #2 above.   After the layout was finished, I had this image so I used it to create a Graduation Congrats card!  I cut out around the image, scored above and below and make my own swing card.  Using a white gel pen I doodled in the same fashion shown in the Chalk it Up kit and loved how it turned out.  It is a bit of an odd size so now I have to make an envelope.  The inside saying was written by my Cricut Explore.

I hope you enjoyed my blog hop creations, please comment below, I'd love to hear from you.
“The next blog on the list belongs to the creative Cydney Fowler .  Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using Chalk it Up. If you get lost, just hop on over to the Damask Divas Chalk it Up Blog Hop for the full list.”

I received my box of goodies from Close to my Heart and the first thing I wanted to play with was the new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  I used the new 'Your own kind of Wonderful' stamp set to stamp the butterfly images with Memento Black ink on our white daisy cardstock.  Then I colored them in, cut them out and attached to a new sheet of cardstock for display.  The title  is stamped with our July stamp of the month set 'Circus Alphabet'

Card Shares

This card was inspired by my granddaughter.  We used the stamp set 'Owls', colored with gel pens, background is Lollydoodle paper,
This was my first attempt at this design.  I used the Timberline paper pack and the Take Note Cricut stamp set that comes with the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge .

This was my make-n-take for a recent crop.  We used the June Stamp set of the Month from CTMH and Gypsy, Hollyhock and Honey inks.

While at the crop I used the Ivy Lane stamp set with Indian corn blue, Ruby, Olive and Smokey Plum inks.  Liquid Glass was added to the sentiment and really added a unique look once dried.  You can use this card design with just about any stamp set and set of 3 ink colors.  Sweet and simple!
